Bench of the Week (7)

This waiting bench was taken in Troy, Ontario. A perfect place to wait for someone with a book in hand. Click on photo to enlarge it.

RuneE from Visual Norway was the originator of Bench of the Week on Friday. Today he has an interesting collection of photos to show the set off.

PERBS from The Love of Benches has an interesting set.

Gerald England of Ackworth Born, Gone West has a delightful bench up at his blog. Set in the shade it sits in welcome.

Phoenix C. from Sylvan Muse has a bench in a stunning garden.

I think it's a better place to hide from someone with a book in hand...

So, where is Troy?

Teresa, I like the fact that the bench sits in the shade.

Barrie, Troy was in the labelling of the photo on Flickr. There are two places in Ontario that have Troy associated with them: Hamilton and Chatham-Kent. Google Maps says so. If it's not then we have a place away from home.

What a perfect bench to sit and wait in such a lovely environment. Come and see my bench -- it's on my BENCH blog.

It is an inviting sight, isn't it?

Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

A very nice scene, a bench that has seen it's time but nestled on that beautiful rock path is absolutely delightful!

Delightful photo. We cannot sit out much, due to the bugs. But I anticipate such soon in the heat and July sunshine!

Barbara, have you seen the new horse stamps? My husband is quite thrilled, loving horses as he does!

It would be a good post for you, if you'll excuse the pun! I am no horstorian ,errr.... historian?

PERBS, your benches are innovative in their construction. Wood makes the best seats.

Ackworth we both have benches in the shade.

Cuban, benches in the summer have a nice appeal wherever they are.

Michele, I wonder if I should add a bit to the next bench post and see what kind of short story the visitors could come up with.

Jenn, summer will soon be here with the heat and the humidity; and bugs may only seem a minor inconvenience.

The Canadian Horse and the Newfoundland Pony are equines I know little about, so I may not be the best person to post about them.

Tony, welcome and nice to see you back for a visit.

What a delightful spot to rejuvenate.

I like what Teresa says about a place to hide from someone, with book in hand! It's just the sort of place I would have gone to hide and read Lord of the Rings as a teenager, escaping from doing my homework!!

I keep forgetting to snap my bench shot. I will try to do it this weekend.

This place looks wonderful and I wish sometime I could go out with a book and enjoy a quiet moment and read. But in my town we have only one park and unfortunately there is loud music and rude people all over the place. So going there is out of the question.
