This photo was taken on the Ontario side of Lake St. Clair, as the water separates the province from the American state of Michigan. Lake St. Clair lies between Lake Huron and Lake Erie. The fish most often caught in these waters are walleye, muskie and bass.

What a cute picture! It reminds me of my brother and my granddad. They used to love to go fishing togther.
And it reminds me of my dad. I went fishing with him when I was very young but found out I hated eating fish so that put a damper on the outings and brought them to an abrupt stop. I would love to go back in time now...
A beauty in all its simplicity. The thousand words etc.
PS Thank you for the comment! Yes it is always nice to meet people one already "knows".
Teresa, it brought back memories of my father with my brothers when they were taught to fish. I was fascinated with the different types of hooks in their camouflage.
David, it may have been you were repulsed at that age of eating a creature that you killed. I was that way for awhile.
RuneE, there are times photos seem to say 'pick me for your post'.
have been there a few times, but not long enough to fish...
I've never caught a walleye or pike or many northern fish. I sure would like to.
Such a beautiful photo Barbara. I've emailed you. I notice you have a Zines section on your site. My daughter's housemate organized a big zine-fest here in Adelaide recently -he was very pleased with the success of it all.I've been handed many and varied zines through her lately, all enjoyable reading.
I have a brother-in-law who would love to fish there. I'm so sad I'm not coming north this summer.
Tony, it's a pretty place.
Charles, when you come for your visit pick any lake and there certainly will be a fish just waiting to wriggle on your hook.
Pam, there are many zines on different genres.
Barrie, then you can visit here instead until your next trip.
This is such a beautiful photo.
What a lovely peaceful image, which combines solitude, togetherness, nature and aesthetic beauty all in one!
Yolanda, the photo sets the mood perfectly to represent fishing. Thanks for stopping by and come again.
Raph, how perfect for a gentleman giraffe to put it so.
