Fishing - Lorette Pond

This is Mount Lorette Pond in Kananaskis Provincial Park, Alberta, which is stocked seasonally with rainbow trout. It's a good idea to pick up a fishing license before putting a line out, as the fish police tend to lurk.

I love this picture, Barbara. The water is so clear. I wouldn't need a license; I'd just be swimming with the fish!

Definitely looks like a purty place to fish

What a lovely place for fishing, and how good the trout must be here in this wonderful and fresh water!

It would be enough for me to bring a camera.

Beautiful. I haven't been to Kananaskis in years. It's time to go back.

drifting in a canoe, soaking up the sights and/or taking pics require no licenses, if so inclined ;)

I don't fish, but after seeing this photo, it certainly makes me want to go visit this scenic spot! What a wonderful eye for beauty you have.

Thank you, everyone, for the kind comments. Mountains, lakes and fishing go hand-in-hand on a relaxing journey.

Fish police! I'm picturing some kind of mer-creatures with dark-blue scales ...

Raph, interesting thought, but I'm afraid they're more mundane than that. Just government officials working with the Fish and Game Department.
