Fishing - Isaac Lake

Isaac Lake is located in Bowron Lake Provincial Park in the Cariboo-Chilcotin coast area of British Columbia. The lake is 31 km long with some white water. It has an average depth of 200 feet with its deepest point at almost 600 feet. The types of fish found here are: Kokanee, Mountain Whitefish, Lake Char and Bull Trout. A fisherman's paradise.

Magnificent capture. Never seen cloud at such a low level close to the water. Beautiful.

Barbara, I am still guided by my sister, because I still have not incorporated some manipulations (the consequences of my problems taking the majority of my time, I do not have enough computers).

Your blog is always interesting, and the journey you offer is still attractive.

Thank you very much for your encouragement and your comments.

Thanks for the beautiful scenery. I'm enjoying it while I eat breakfast prior to what promises to be a most hectic day. Love the picture!

Rajesh, in the Rockies around lakes the morning mist takes time to burn off and these were those last whispy bits. I have seen similar occurrences at Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park.

Francois, come to visit whenever you are able.

Steven, the canoe trekking via the Bowron Loop can take as long as the person desires. I like the variety of campsites, and when there are fish to catch one will never go hungry.

Leah, I liked how calm the water was. Isaac Lake is known for its gusty winds in the afternoon.

Debra, it is.

Teresa, then you can reflect upon the image in your memory when the 'hectic' catches up to you.

This looks like a slice of heaven - especially since we've had 104 degree weather for the past month, with no exceptions!

That's big enough to have it's own lake monster.

Start of next month I'm heading to the mountains of New Mexico do do a bit of trout fishing.

Bindu, there isn't that kind of heat at Isaac Lake though the interior of BC can get quite warm.

Charles, it certainly is deep enough, and I'm sure the fish grow to a good size.

Tony, this is really a beautiful place. I've seen other snaps of the area and it's tempting to plan a trip.

Merisi, Mr. McKenna takes excellent photos. I have picked out several more of his for future posts.

Sekhar, I like to put a little history or background to accompany each photo.

Cloudia, my sentiments exactly.

Travis, then you must post about the trip and tell us how many fish you caught.

The lake must be cold if it is that deep Barbara.

I have hear and read about the Fort in the post below so it is wonderful to see pictures of it.

Barbara, honestly, the first word that came into my head when I saw that picture was an expletive which I will not write on your blog out of respect, so I will just write: 'Holy Cow!'. Fudge me! That's an amazing view. Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

And a photographer's too as judged by this picture.

Joan, I wouldn't want to fall in.

Cuban, the photo spoke strongly to me as well.

RuneE, this location would be a photographer's delight.

The cloud reflections in the water bring the pic to life.

Barbara Martin said...

Gary, yes, they certainly do.
