This bench is located on a trail to Wreck Beach where clothing is optional. Wreck Beach is located on part of the University of British Columbia's Endowment Lands west of Vancouver, B.C. This bench was carved by Michael Rose.

Benches are always important to the tired hiker and mountain climber. This is a very beautiful one.

This is an extremely cool bench. I love the carving on the back. I am also intriqued by the clothing optional comment. Does that mean clothing is optional on the bench, on the trail, on the beach, or on the University of British Columbia's Endowment Lands???

Steve, I wished I had gone for the larger size to download which provided a little more detail on the carving.
Teresa, the clothing option is for Wreck Beach which has long been a nude beach. There is consternation among those who use the beach about high rise development encroaching on their activities.
