This is another great bench, Barbara. I love it that you can sit and watch the boat traffic by the pier.
What a beautiful photo, Barbara! It looks like Norway! Thanks for sharing and visiting my blog. You asked if I was able to go into the castles. Yes we saw the interiors of the castles of Cheverny, Chambord, Chenonceau and Chaumond. I shall show them all in the next few weeks. But now I am taking a break for a few days. Too busy!!
This one and its surroundings reminds me very much of the area in Norway called Lofoten (up North). The same type of seafront and the same colours. I'll have to look at my hard disk and see what I can find.
What a neat bench to sit and watch activity in the marina. It looks like a long bench too. I just wonder why they don't put another back slat in there -- small children could fall through if they leaned back. . .

I really like the Bench of the Week theme. How long have you been photographing benches? What made you think of this as a theme?
I like the Gull flying in from the upper 1/3 on the right. The Tree on the left makes for a nice framing.
The ferns near the water on the right almost had a Venus fly trap type of look. I found that interesting.
Looks like a fun place. I'd sit on that bench and watch the world float by.

The majority of the photographs on this blog come from the Commons or Wikipedia. Photo credits are always listed at the bottom of each post.
Flickr likes those who use the Creative Commons photos to link to the photographer on their specific pages, but I have had computer glitches with doing this. Thus I put the information about each photo in a credit line with a corresponding photo number for identification.
Leah, you should take a trip to the BC coast some day to smell the salty air.
