Fishing Tuesday

This photo was taken at a lake somewhere between North Bay and Kirkland Lake in northern Ontario. For those who take a week off every year to relax, kick back and drop the line into the water...

I wouldn't be fishing, Barbara, but I'd love to spend a week around that lovely lake with my feet on the side of the boat, reading.

Pam, it sets the mood to relax after many months at the corporate grind.

Raph, or sitting on a reclining chair on a porch listening to the loons and geese on the water, and sipping on a cold beer.

I just love this picture. It makes me feel like I'm out on the lake, and I too would be reading, not fishing... (but no beer).

No rest for the wicked in my world. But it's tempting.

I love love love that photo and the feeling it emits.

Sitting in a rocker or Adirondack chair on a porch would be more to my liking, too. But sipping iced tea. :)

What a perfect snap! I loved the boots detail and the lake stretching into the distance, almost like spilling over one's imagination, trying to reach into the unknown. And the lake looks so placid and quiet. Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

No need to fish with that lovely view to look at (I don't mean the feet by the way). I was in Toronto only three weeks ago - lovely city.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Call again.

Very peaceful, though mine would have a book, not a pole :)

I'd probably have a book propped up on my lap.

I don't know how to fish but the pic makes me want to learn ... or at least go sit next to someone who's fishing on this beautiful lake!

AH!
Ah-loha ;-)

You are invited to a virtual tribute at my blog tomorrow, Barbara (if you have the time)

Teresa, beer is for sitting on a porch and not going anywhere afterwards: certainly not on a boat in water.

David, you can always dream.

Debra, same feeling it gave me when I spied it.

Michele, a blissful time in any case.

Pamela, it is indeed.

Bindu, I thought it fit the ideal fisherman's first lazy day away from the corporate world.

Cuban, it will remain quiet providing local moose don't decide to go for water plant munching.

Tony, one is enough for me at any given time.

Weaver, there are thousands of places in northern Ontario that are as beautiful as this place.

L.A., a nice piece of pan fried trout is quite tasty for dinner.

Maria, thank you kindly.

Charles, there are likely well sized fish in this lake.

That's the way to do it: "Gone fishin' - with a camera".
