This bench is located on the south side of the North Saskatchewan river that runs through Edmonton, Alberta. It provides a lovely view of the downtown skyline.
On the far right of the building skyline can be seen the peaked roof of the Macdonald Hotel. The Macdonald was built in 1912 by the Grand Trunk Railway, and is now owned by the Fairmont Hotel chain.

ReplyDeleteI love the bench, and the buildings are nice, but I would much rather be looking at mountains or wildflowers! I agree that the people in the buildings should take time out daily to admire the beautiful wood of the bench.

ReplyDeleteI noticed your picture for the new Diana Gabaldon book. My wife is a big fan and just started reading it. Given that part of my ancestry is Faser-McKenzie and I'm about as peaceful as Jamie toward my enemies, it gives my wife a good chuckle comparing traits.

ReplyDeletePhoenix, it may be quite impossible to view the bench, although I suspect it is located near the Muttart Conservatory which has over 700 different plants on display.
