CANADA DAY - CONFEDERATION 1867

Most Canadians celebrate this day with picnics and barbeques followed by fireworks after the sun sets. The historical significance of a country joining east and western parts on July 1, 1867 set the stage for a dynamic beginning. A post I wrote in 2010 explains the background of bringing this country together.
