This photo is of the Bow River heading east toward Canmore, Alberta from Banff National Park. My posts have slowed of late due to ongoing eye problems where I get flashes of light on either side which limits my use of the computer at this time. Thus, future posts are liable to be sporadic until I can get the situation under control. Getting older has its challenges. Photo Credit: pinkcanoe CC=nc-nd-flickr.

Charles and Leah, thanks. I'm using a lot of blueberries and carrot juice to help with eye care. I find they keep the eyes moist throughout the day and ease eyestrain.

Viola, the turrets in the background are known at the 'hoodoos'...a sandstone formation that has been weathered by the environment. It's a popular tourist site in the area.

None of us is getting any younger, so I know the feeling. All my sympathy and keep well!

I hope you're seeing a professional about those eye problems.. I can guarantee you that blueberries and carrot juice won't solve it.

I have been to an opthamologist who says that the white light flashes are due to blood clots crossing infront of the retina. As I take warfarin daily the clots are taken care of most of the time. Although I do find that regular Reiki treatments are assisting in getting the flahes under control.

Currently, I am using sunglasses while on the computer to avoid the light's glare which sometimes causes the flashes to begin. Too many years of working at a computer in the office is beginning to take its toll.

I am hopeful that I will be able to make semi-regular posts in the near future.

Pam,
I'm going to get an eye exam done next week to get new glass lenses which may alleviate some of the eye strain I've been under. Aftr pver over a weeK of being off the internet and not reading any books or other material without my glasses, the flashes have lessened. Also, I've been keeping well highdrated with lots of water and juice due to the very hot humid temperatures Toronto has been enduring. I'm ready to go back to a more temperate climate further north.
