Butterstub Marsh is located in the city of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, B.C. It is a man-made bird sanctuary with a wide trail that loops around a wet marsh. A perfect spot for a stroll to get away and refresh one’s energy.

I would have enjoyed sitting there with a telephoto-lens and tried to get a shot at a bird!

A very neat looking bench
This bench invites anybody to sit down and to have a view of the surroundings! A lovely place to watch birds.
Looks like a heavenly place to sit and bird watch with a camera.
What a lovely name for a place, Barbara! I would be saying it to myself as I sat there, and imagining eating lots of buttered toast while watching the birds - and sharing the crumbs with them!
Kind of like watching a sea of grass.
