  1. A double treat this week! This looks like a lovely tranquil spot. I can imagine the cool atmosphere from the water.

  2. I would have enjoyed to sit down by that small lake and think of nothing - or Life, The Universe and Everything.

  4. Now that's a bench I should like to sit on for a while and gaze at the lake! It's a really beautiful spot! Thanks for showing! Have a great weekend!

  7. Two benches! One for Maureen and me to sit on, one for Nexi and Littl' Nicky, and Necky Becky'd be off exploring!

  8. Phoenix, and many benches from which to choose.

RuneE, I was hoping to do that this weekend, if the sun returns and the rain departs.

    Charles, perfect idea.

  9. Perbs, I couldn't agree more.

Wil, though it's a man-made lake, the water is a great relaxant when needed.

Terrie, sometimes I take a book to a nearby park close to Lake Ontario with the intention to read. I end up sitting there staring out at the lake instead.

  10. Teresa, this park is right in Montreal and I find the photographer made good use of his angles to avoid including any of the surrounding buildings.

Raph, if you look closely (the photo does enlarge) there are pairs of benches on the other side of the water. So one could walk all the way around and have a new view to admire.

  13. I visited a similar place today with my family. A lovely little village from where we took a long walk through amazing landscape. But I wish I could have taken a photo as good as this one. Many thanks.

    Greetings from London.

  14. Michele, sometimes during my walks I overlook the pleasure of seeing or sitting up a bench. These posts are a good reminder.

Cuban, you are too kind with your praise.

  15. I want to be on that bench right now, gazing at the water, soaking up the cool! It's 33 degrees here and rising steadily...

  16. Mary, Montreal tends to be temperate even in the summer, though it does have magnificent lightning displays during thunderstorms.
