Tiffany Falls

[1-click to enlarge]

Tiffany Creek tumbles 6.5 metres over the escarpment into a v-shaped ravine. A short side trail from the Tiffany Falls Trail leads you to the waterfall. It's a rough walk, crossing a talus slope with steep, narrow sections.

The Tiffany Falls Trail is part of the Bruce Trail system in the Golden Horseshoe near Ancaster, Ontario.

  1. Hello Barbara,

A bit south for an inunnguaq, no? Unless of course this is your canny way of weighing in the pre/post contact debate on inunnguaqs as opposed to inukshuks... And I would not be at all surprised if it was.

    Tschuess,
    Chris

  4. Just the kind of place I have characters find in the savage wilderness where they can bathe and rest in peace for a moment.

  6. Josh, my thoughts exactly.

Chris, the inunnguaq is often mistaken for an inukshuk with hikers. I took the figure as a message that 'someone had been there before' which is what the figure means.

Raph, there are many places to take walks in.

  8. Steve, Leigh, any of the sub-trails from the Bruce Trail system has their quiet out of the way spots for resting one's soul.

  13. Thanks for your congrats on my stopping smoking!
Well, I WAS addicted and I had to quit without ever smoking a single cigarette again. I smoked 40, too. You are right, your body is cleansed from within when you stop, that's exactly how I feel! :))))
And: the chocolate tastes soooo much better now!!!
    LOL

  15. Patti, when the weather is warmer take a drive across the bridge to explore.

Bindu, that is what I liked about the photo: a lazy, small stream of water trickling over the edge.

Cloudia, you just gave me a great idea. Tune in to find out.

  16. Marie, it is.

Maria, good to hear you're doing well on your recovery.

Cinda, all writers need mini-vacations. I find posting on my nature topics helps in solving my writer's blocks.

Rick, well I can say it's true and combined with it is a big dose of procrastination.
